A CIRCULAR YAMAGANE TSUBA, the patinated ishimeji plate decorated around the rim with a broad band of scrolling tendrils, Tachikanagushi school, Momoyama period, 7.5cm.; an oval iron tsuba formed as a kiku overlaid with kiri leaves and kanji carved in low relief, gilt details, the hitsu-ana plugged with shakudo, Bushu style, 19th century, 8.2cm.; and a circular iron tsuba, the thick plate with a Japanese man and foliage in iroe takazogan, Nara school, 18th century, 6.8cm.
