A KO-NARA TSUBA, the oval hammered iron plate inlaid in shibuichi, copper and gold with the figure of a traveller, the reverse with rocks, the edge bears tekkotsu, early/mid Edo period, 7cm., and an Akasaka Tadanori tsuba, the almost round iron plate pierced with overlapping circles in the form of a much-stylised chrysanthemum, signed Tadanori saku, late Edo period, 6.7cm.
