The case of typical form with moulded white marble base, bevelled glasses to the sides, front and rear doors and with moulded white marble flat top, the dial with outer sweep centre seconds enamel ring, eccentric hour and minute Roman chapter disc, the recessed centre with jewelled Brocot deadbeat escapement signed by the retailer Moyon Hermanos Valparidso beneath the 'scape wheel, the calendar dial below with moonphase, day, date and month with additional equation of time, the gilt mask engraved with foliage on a hatched ground, minute hand adjustment square between the two dials and pendulum regulation square above the main dial, the movement with breakarch plates with four back-pinned pillars and twin going barrels, strike on bell, the backplate stamped A Brocot & Delettrez, Paris, No. 10064; 24-8, inter-conecting lever to the calendar movement below stamped No 10065.
