The white enamel dial (with cracks) signed Elgin National Watch Co, Roman hour numerals, Arabic five minute intermarkers 60-5-10 et seque, up-and-down dial reading 0-40 (at XII) subsidiary seconds dial (at VI), blued steel hand, nickel plated radial damascened lever movement with screwed châtons jewelled to the centre inscribed and numbered Father Time, Elgin ill USA 14813821, cut bimetallic balance, flat blued steel balance spring with Breguet overcoil, gilt brass bowl and gimbal, the bowl counterweight with the Government mark and inscribed HSG 724.
