8° (168 x 108 mm.). Collation: A-M8 N6. 102 (of probably 136) leaves. 22 lines. Roman type, Kerver's device on A1 and 17 large fine metalcuts (of 19, lacking the final Trinity and Emblems of the Passion), fine historiated borders throughout, including a Dance of Death series, capitals and initials illuminated throughout. 17th-century shagreen. Provenance: Alexander Peckover, Baron Wisbech (bookplate).
A very rare Book of Hours. The only other copy we can trace seems to be Fairfax Murray French 207; Bohatta 924. The Peckover copy is uncoloured, with fine impressions of the cuts.
