Small 4° mostly in 8s (202 x 150mm.). Title printed in red and black with woodcut portrait of Edward VI, 2 woodcut maps and numerous illustrations in the text. (Some leaves soiled or dampstained, A1 and final leaf torn with loss of a few letters, a few other small tears, margins trimmed occasionally affecting headline.) 19th-century red morocco, blocked in gilt with roll-tool with acorn cornerpieces, spine gilt in compartments (extremities rubbed, small splits in upper hinge), edges gauffered and gilt.
The third of Jugge's revised 4° editions of Tyndale's version, apparently the last of over 40 editions of Tyndale's New Testament, with some new woodcuts. DMH 121; STC 2873.
