The corrected second edition, the first having been published the same year from a corrupt text. This edition was issued without the 35 poems by Daniel and others.
ONE OF THE GREAT RARITIES IN ENGLISH LITERATURE. STC 22537 records only 4 copies and a fragment (B.L. 2 copies; Huntington Library; the present copy and the Juel-Jensen fragment); B. Juel-Jensen, Sir Philip Sidney no. 17, The Book Collector, Summer 1963 p. 197. Of the first edition which was suppressed only 2 complete copies are known.
