The case of typical construction with boxwood line inlay to the detatchable lentical and trunk doors, the hood with typical architectural pediment, rope-twist and trellis cast ormolu bezel to the white enamel Roman dial with blued steel hands, the movement with slightly tapering plates and four pillars pinned to the front plate, deadbeat escapement with jewelled pallets, jewelled anchor pivots, fine adjustment to the crutch piece and steel rod spring-suspended pendulum, the backplate signed Aubert & Klaftenberger in Wien
