A MEISSEN RECTANGULAR ORNITHOLOGICAL TEA-CADDY, the long sides painted with courting goldfinches and blue-tits on grassy mounds, the short sides and the ozier moulded sloping shoulders with scattered insects including moths and a ladybird (minute chip to footrim, slight rubbing to gilding), faint blue crossed swords mark, circa 1750, later silver cover with hallmarks for London 1941
