SECOND EDITION. The first edition was printed at the short-lived Angers press of Johannes de Turre and Johannes Murelli about 1476, and is known in a sole surviving copy now at Angers (Pellechet 4012). After the cessation of the Angers press in about 1477 (until 1493), books specific to the region were printed at Paris often, as the case here, for a local bookseller. The present edition of the civil and common laws customary to the Anjou and Maine was printed for Jean Alexandre, bookseller to the university at Angers.
