Title and every page within a typographical border, 9 woodcut illustrations in the text, a wide-margined copy in early 20th-century polished calf gilt (hinges rubbed). First edition of these devotional poems dedicated to Cornelia Casale by Lucrezia Marinelli (1571-1653), a Venetian widow who, after the death of her husband, devoted herself to literature, publishing several works in prose and verse.
