Large woodcut on title-page of two women talking together with, behind, a river flowing through a town, another woman, the authoress, writing at a lectern. 19th-century red boards gilt. Provenance: later 16th-century inscription at head of title-page 'Ad usu[m] F[rat]ris Petri pamphili de Firmi or. mi.'. The Cento comprises collected passages from the works of Virgil, compiled by the wife of Clodius Celsinus Adelphius. Sander 5896; not in BLSTC Italian.
