For biographical notes see lot 211
Number 1533 was obviously bought or ordered at the same time as No. 1532 (lot 211). Instead of chronometer escapement there is a high quality lever escapement and the quarters are struck instead of just the hours. It quite clearly makes a positive statement with its bold and distinctive dial that, like its sister, has the ultimate luxury of twin up-and-down indications.
