A VIENNA-STYLE CIRCULAR DISH painted by Knoller with Sirenen, the three young women scantily clad in diaphanous robes standing and seated on rocks in a blue-green sea, the cavetto outlined in ciselé gilding, the pale-celadon border reserved with slender claret and olive-green cartouches enclosing dark-blue quatrefoil medallions and richly gilt with meandering flowers and foliage-scrolls, within concentric bands of slender gilt foliage (small areas of wear to enamels in centre), artist's signature in black and titled in gilding, blue beehive mark, circa 1890
