A MEISSEN DARK-BLUE-GROUND BOUILLON-CUP, COVER AND SAUCER with a rose finial, the slightly waisted cylindrical body with an entwined double handle with leaf terminals and a band of flutes encircling the lower body, reserved with pastoral scenes of lovers in landscape within quatrefoil cartouches outlined with gilt scrolls, the rims gilt with faux bois and scrolling tendrils (minute chips to finial, chips to footrim of saucer), blue crossed swords marks, cup with Pressnummer 38, circa 1860
