Both sold with photographs of the reverse showing inscriptions prior to relining; the first 'Pfad von Grafenberg nach Endrath/Pöbler/10 Aug. 41', the other 'Wilker Busch 1842'.

Guérard studied in Dusseldorf with Johann Wilhelm Schirmer in 1837, but is best known for his landscapes of Victoria, Australia where he emigrated in 1852.
