Felsing, Berlin, published by the artist, 1891, with full margins, title and list of contents somewhat foxed, the sheets in very good condition, loose in original brown calico covered portfolio with gilt title and black vignettes impressed on cover, in very good condition, contained in green cloth-covered box

Lot Essay

The first three editions were printed in very small numbers before the steel-facing of the plates. Editions I and II were printed in editions of six and ten respectively on Chine appliqué. The plates were steel-faced before the printing of the fourth edition in 1898.
