lithograph, 1945, on wove paper, from the set of fifteen, signed in pencil and inscribed 'épreuve d'essai' on the reverse, a very rare trial proof aside from the three signed artist's proofs and the unsigned edition of 195, published by Les Editions du Livre, 1950, printed to the edges of the sheet, a deckle edge at the right, uneven at the upper left corner, slight rubbing and remains of old paper at the upper reverse corners, one or two pencil or crayon inscriptions on the reverse, otherwise generally in very good condition
