A FINE COPY of the second enlarged edition. The first edition of this elaborate treatise describing and illustrating the use of fire-fighting equipment in Amsterdam was published in 1690 with 19 plates. The plates illustrate the equipment, but also the mitigating effect of its employment at the scene of a fire. This edition includes the 6 additional plates illustrating the improvements to the equipment invented by the van der Heydens.
