A FINE COPY of this second augmented edition of the catalogue of the natural history museum of the Neapolitan apothecary Ferrante Imperato and his son Francesco. They are shown in the plate (which is after a woodcut) pointing out exhibits to two visitors. The 28 books by Antonio Stigliola include 5 on metallurgy, 9 on alchemy and the rest on the animal and vegetable kingdoms. Hunt 321; cf. Nissen ZBI 2111.
