2° (320 x 220mm.). Title printed in red and black with engraved vignette, 1 folding engraved plate (small tears at folds), numerous woodcut illustrations. (Outer blank margin of title and each text leaf with small pin hole.) Old vellum, titled in gilt on green-stained section of spine (slightly soiled).
Second augmented edition. (See previous lot.) It is interesting to note that both copies exhibit the small pin holes in the outer margins: these result from the printer fixing each sheet with small pins to ensure correct registration of the text. These holes are sometimes encountered in early printed books but are rare in later works. Hunt 321; cf. Nissen ZBI 2111.
