A FINE COPY OF AN EARLY SCHOLARLY GUIDE. The plates and plans include the author's own plans and cross-sections and views after F. Wirtz, S. Munster, and Fouquier, all by C. Rordorf. The book is in three parts: a history of the castle from 1148; a description of the castle and garden (the bulk of the book) and finally an illustrated English translation of Salomom de Caus' Hortus Palatinus of 1620.
