Second printing of the magnum opus of the most important Flemish poet of the renaissance. It takes the form of an account of the journey of the poet's soul toward Olympus and incorporates incidents and characters drawn from the French translation of Colonna's Hypnerotomachia Poliphili. Only abbreviated versions of the Olympias were ever published, the first being in German and entitled Das Buch Extasis, printed in or after 1573 at Cologne.
