The Silver Wraith was announced in 1946. It was derived from the pre-war Wraith, but with an inlet-over-exhaust valve engine instead of the conventional overhead valve layout. In 1951 this engine was bored out to 4½-litre, and in 1955 to 4.9-litre. The Silver Wraiths were all bodied by the specialist coachbuilders of the day.

This motor car has remained with the same family since new and has driven a mere 62,000 miles. It has been stored on blocks for the last few years and unfortunately the paintwork and chrome are starting to blister. The interior remains in fairly good condition with veneered cocktail cabinets and cut glass.
