1955 WOLSELEY 6/80
Registration No.DMP 106
Chassis No. AAC13/25252
Engine No. C69683
Maroon
Right hand drive.
In 1927, William Morris aquired the Wolseley company, however it was not until 1935 that Wolseley became an integral part of the Nuffield empire and from then on many models bore a distinct family resemblance to the Morris range. In 1948 the first all new post-war Wolseleys were lauched in the form of the 4/50 and 6/80 and they were really luxurious versions of the equivalent Morris models. The 6/80 in common with the Morris 6 used a six cylinder overhead camshaft engine of 2,215cc which gave 72bhp at 4,600rpm.
This 6/80 is one of the very last to be sold and was first registered in January 1955, and has been with the same family since new. Its last MoT expired in November 1989 and the recorded mileage in November 1988 was 59,994 which may be genuine. It comes with a V5 document, its last MoT certificate and a manual.
