A Correspondence to Denmark
The following twenty lots comprise an extensive business correspondence to Denmark, circa 1799-1807 and 1832-74. Most of the letters are from Ships' Captains.
cover 1799 E.L. (2), from Guernsey and Leith, to Copenhagen, both showing the very scarce London experimental "PAID" d.s. (L.103, codes F and G, the last not listed by Jay & Willcocks), good to fine strikes in red, the first also showing a small part strike of the Guernsey h.s. Minor ink offset but attractive.
