Lot Essay

Cesare Fantacchiotti (1844-1922) was born and died in Florence and was the son and pupil of Odoardo Fantacchiotti. A prolific artist in every medium of sculpture, he produced numerous portrait busts, classical and allegorical groups, historic statuettes and genre figures. He exhibited in many of the major European cities.
