A BÖTTGER TEABOWL AND SAUCER painted in the manner of C.F. Herold in Eisenrot, the teabowl with a continuous river landscape and the saucer with trees in tubs on a quay before distant islands and shipping, within gilt Laub-und-Bandelwerk borders (minute gilt flakes to rim of teabowl and slight rubbing to saucer), gilder's 97 to both pieces, Dreher's marks, circa 1725
