A PAIR OF COALPORT POWDERED-BROWN-GROUND OVIFORM VASES with slender waisted necks and gilt scroll handles to the shoulders, perhaps from the studio of Thomas Baxter, the bodies reserved and painted with loose bouquets within oval gilt cartouches, and pink roses and false gadroons divided by yellow diamond-shaped panels, the rims gilt (one with crack and slight chip to rim, the other with star crack to base), blue interlaced L and incised B marks, circa 1810
