juz' XXVIII including the start of sura lvii, al-Mujadilah, manuscript on cream paper, 10ff. plus two flyleaves, each with 7ll. of flowing gold diwani, gold roundels with red dots between verses, sura headings in maroon-outlined gold ornamental kufic with touches of colour on a ground of gold scrolling vine, the margins painted with scrolling flowering vine in gold and polychrome, (negligible staining), opening folio with the title in gold ornamental kufic with bands of scrolling vine between interlace borders, panels above and below with white kufic and scrolling vine on blue ground, final page with colophon signed by Asma Izzat, light brown morocco binding with stamped floral medallion and spandrels, (slight scuffing at corners)

This Qur'an has been written in the style of Muhammad Izzat al-Karkuki (fl.19th century) who was the first calligrapher to use diwani for the Qur'an. It is possible that Asma Izzat is his daughter.
