the complete juz' in relief on pale buff paper, 28ff. plus two flyleaves, each with 5ll. of flowing nasta'liq, sura headings in cartouches within rectangular arabesque panels, (occasional slight staining), ornamental kufic heading on opening folio within geometric interlace borders, brown morocco binding with paler brown stamped arabesque central medallion and tooled border (minor scuffing at corners)

The writing appears to be formed by the painstaking method of laying two sheets of paper together, cutting the words out of the upper one and then peeling the background away leaving the words in relief. They have then been covered with a thin sheet of paper to protect them.
