A FINE QAJAR WATERED AND GOLD DAMASCENED STEEL QALAMDAN with rouded ends and sliding tray, the top and sides shallowly etched and damascened with scrolling arabesques forming open panels around similar gold shaped cartouches containing stylised floral motifs, in a panelled beaded border, the sides with similar panels and cartouches divided by floral stellar motifs, the base with loosely drawn silver damascened scrolling leafy vine, second half 19th century (negligible corrosion)
