AN OTTOMAN DOUBLE DAGGER (kard), the two similar daggers of similar form, one slightly shorter than the other, each with single edged blade inlaid on each side with 'snowflake' patterns, the ivory faced hilt with a band of repoussé silver gilt along the spine worked with panels of floral motifs, the leather covered wooden sheath with large silver mounts at each end, each worked in repoussé and engraved with fine floral sprays and arcading, the associated loop and chains attached with a boss in the form of a floral spray, late 17th/early 18th century (negligible damage)
