The inscription reads 'al-'izz w'al-iqbal w'al-dawla w'al-salama w'al-sa'ada' (glory, prosperity, good fortune, peace and happiness [to the owner]).

The benedictory rather than honorific form of this inscription indicates a date in the 13th not 14th century
