A MAMLUK STYLE ENAMELLED GLASS MOSQUE LAMP, the body flaring flom the short foot to a gently sloping and slightly rounded deep shoulder, the neck of flaring conical form, six applied loop handles around the shoulder, the shoulder enamelled and gilded with a (reversed) stylised thuluth inscription on a blue ground of scrolling leafy vine, a band of scrolling arabesques above and below, the underside with a band of scrolling arabesques around palmette cartouches alternating with imitation blazon roundels, the central red band with a stylised quadruped, the mouth with similar stylised blazons among stylised blue thuluth script, 19th century
