A FINE OTTOMAN REPOUSSE SILVER EWER AND BASIN, the basin of rounded form with wide flaring rim, the neck fitted with a pierced domed collar supporting a small saucer under the baluster ewer with S-shape tubular spout, similar handle and rounded domed hinged cover with rounded knop, the ewer and basin each with a broad band of repoussé rococo cartouches flanked by flowerhead sprays and scrolling acanthus between bands of gadrooning, the domed collar similar, the saucer with a central gadrooned stellar flowerhead and similar cusped border, extensively marked with the maker's stamp and with the tughra of Abdulhamid II
