(31cm.) across, and A DAMASCUS POTTERY TILE, the white ground painted in sage-green, cobalt-blue and turquoise within black outlines with scrolling stems linking palmettes and cusped arabesque cartouches, a blue border of meandering palmette interlace along one side, late 16th century, later made up into an occasional table 11 1/8in.
