A 12-BORE FLINTLOCK DUCK GUN with swamped two-stage browned twist sighted barrel with silver spider fore-sight, signed in gold on the breech, and with two gold breech lines and gold-lined touch-hole, engraved case-hardened tang, signed and engraved case-hardened bevelled lock with roller and semi-rainproof pan (safety-catch, top jaw and screw replaced), figured walnut half-stock (fore-end chipped), the grip with characteristic chequering, engraved blued iron mounts, silver barrel-bolt escutcheons, brass-tipped ramrod (repaired), and traces of original finish, by Durs Egg, London, circa 1790
