A FINE OVER-AND-UNDER FLINTLOCK OFFICER'S PISTOL with browned twist octagonal barrels each signed in gold and with two gold lines at the breech and gold-lined touch-hole, the upper barrel sighted, engraved case-hardened tang, signed and engraved case-hardened detented bevelled locks each with roller, gold-lined semi-rainproof pan, and engraved safety-catch also locking the steel, chequered figured walnut butt, engraved iron mounts, vacant gold escutcheon, original iron ramrod with chequered tip, and most of its original finish, by Durs Egg, London, early 19th Century.
