FLINTLOCK OFFICER'S PISTOLS with signed rebrowned twist barrels each with silver fore-sight and engraved gold band at the breech, gold-lined touch-holes, engraved case-hardened tangs, signed and engraved case-hardened bevelled locks each with safety-catch, roller, and semi-rainproof pan, figured walnut half-stocks each carved with a floral spray around the barrel tang, the butts cut with characteristic chequering, silver mounts comprising trigger-guards in the French taste engraved with trophy of arms and flowers, butt-caps centering on a stylised flowerhead, and shaped fore-end caps, silver ramrod-pipes, and original white-metal ramrods each with chequered tip, by Durs Egg, London, London silver hallmarks for 1784, maker's mark of Moses Brent
