A VIENNA-STYLE CIRCULAR DISH painted with a goddess and a maiden among billowing clouds with attendant cherubs, some with sunrays issuing from their mouths and with a sleeping dog below, within a gilt ciselé well, the claret and yellow-ground border with a band of foliage and bird arabesques painted in bright colours on a seeded white frieze outlined with gilt ciselé bands, reserved with elliptical-shaped gilt medallions enclosing cherubs and with diamond-shaped panels enclosing masks en grisaille, within a gilt-line rim, blue beehive mark, circa 1890
