A DRESDEN PORCELAIN CLOCK-GARNITURE, the central clock-case of rococo-scroll-moulded form surmounted with an urn-shaped vase, the movement flanked by scrolls and surmounted by a ribbon-tied garland of grapes resting on the thighs of two putti seated on each scroll, the lower part pierced on the front and back with diaper-pattern applied with flowers and the convex sides painted with bouquets, on a spreading base moulded with a shell and on four scroll feet, the flanking nine-light candelabra modelled with two dancing fauns, one playing the cymbals, before two leaf-moulded columns entwined with fruiting vine and terminating in the arms, moulded and applied with similar decoration, on square bases applied with flowers and reserved with cartouches of birds in landscapes, on scroll feet (restoration to cymbalist's left arm, hand and cymbal and to ribbon on front of urn, small chips to applied decoration, slight damage to glass), imitation blue crossed swords marks, circa 1880 the clock 21in.
