A PAIR OF JOSEPH HOLDCROFT MAJOLICA JARDINIÈRES with two female mask handles, the dark-blue grounds moulded in high relief with swags of flowers suspended from bosses moulded on the upper body above bands of vertical turquoise ribbon, between waisted brown bands moulded with cell-pattern, the lower bodies moulded with flutes, on four brown and turquoise fluted feet (one with one foot and one handle re-stuck, crack to rim, minor glaze chips to moulded extremities and some crazing to glaze), impressed marks, circa 1865
