A DAVENPORT BOTANICAL PART DESSERT-SERVICE, the beige grounds reserved in the centres with named specimens within shaped white cartouches, the borders richly gilt with shells, flowers and leaves and pierced with symmetrical scrolls, comprising:
A high circular comport on a pierced leaf-moulded stem
Two similar smaller comports (both damaged, one with dish re-attached to stem)
Four shaped-square comports on four scroll feet (four damaged)
Four shaped-oval dishes on four scroll feet (one with foot lacking, three damaged and repaired
Four shell-shaped comports on three scroll feet (one with minute crack to handle)
Twenty-one plates
(general slight wear to gilding), iron-red and purple titles on the reverses, purple printed marks, pattern number 500, 1840-1845
