Engraved frontispieces, titles printed in red and black, dedication to Trinity House, 45 engraved maps and charts only, all on thick paper, 39 double-page, 2 folding, and including 2 coastal profiles, all on later guards. (Without the charts of the River Avon, Cork Harbour and Leith, some spotting and soiling, folds strengthened.) Modern half calf. LARGE PAPER DEDICATION COPY, with several pertinent amendments to both the charts and the text in an early 18th-century hand. Provenance: Trinity House (armorial bookplate). NMM 3 p.397.
