A PAIR OF FIGURES OF BRINGAREE INDIANS modelled by James Hadley, she wearing a pointed fringed headdress and shawl, and a dress with a gilt belt and 'jewelled' collar, holding a stick, he wearing a turban, fringed shawl, buttoned tunic, breeches and with a dagger tucked into his cummerbund, holding a rifle, both wearing gilt slippers, their clothes painted in pale-apricot and ivory enriched with flowered and leaf patterns, stripes and gilding, on rocky circular bases (dagger restored, slight wear to gilding), impressed Hadley, purple printed and impressed marks, model numbers 1243, reg. mark, 78877, circa 1887
