This lot is almost certainly the same pastel of Miss Wood, daughter of General Wood, that is recorded as being in the possession of Rev. F. Delme Radcliffe, the sitter's grandson, in 1894 (G.C. Williamson, John Russell, R.A., London, 1894, p. 160)
