Sir Henry Hoghton, 5th Bt. (1679-1768) eldest son of Sir Charles Hoghton and his wife, Mary, daughter of 2nd Viscount Massereene; M.P. for Preston, Colonel of the Militia. He married, firstly Mary (d. 1719), daughter of Sir William Boughton, Bt. of Lawford, co. Warwick in 1710, secondly in 1721, Elizabeth Lloyd (d. 1736), widow of Lord James Russell, younger son of the Duke of Bedford, thirdly, Susanna (d. 1772), eldest daughter of Thomas Butterworth of Manchester, but had no issue.
