Walgrave Hall today is a fragment of the larger house in the picture. The coat of arms with the date '1674' still remains, together with the staircase, and the mullioned and barred windows.
Sir William Langham, 3rd Bt., was born in 1631, son of Alderman Sir John Langham, 1st Bt., Sheriff of London, and Member of Parliament for the City, and his wife, Mary, daughter of James Bunce. Sir William was a doctor of physic, Sheriff of Northamptonshire, and Member of Parliament for Northampton between 1679 and 1695. He married firstly Elizabeth, daughter of Sir Anthony Haslewood, in 1657; he married secondly Alice, widow of John Rolle and daughter of Sir George Chudleigh, Bt., in 1659; and thirdly Martha, widow of David Polhill, in 1666. He died in 1701 and was succeeded by his son, John, as 4th Baronet.
