A PAIR OF MORIGUCHI BRONZE VASES decorated in gold and silver hirazogan, each with a shaped panel depicting pavilions and pine trees in a river landscape and a lobed panel with a bird among leaves and flowers on a ground of various geometric designs and flowerheads, the neck with a narrow band of geometric designs in gilt, signed Kyoto Moriguchi, 13.7cm. high; a Komai dish with petal-shaped rim decorated in bronze, silver and gilt nunomezogan, the central roundel with three panels shaped as overlapping fans, depicting pavilions and trees in a river landscape, the rim with fruiting vines, signed Kyoto ju Komai sei, 33.4cm. diam.; and a round Moriguchi dish decorated in gold and silver hirazogan, the central lobed roundel enclosing a design of buildings, pine and cherry trees in a river landscape, the rim with fruiting vines, signed Moriguchi sei, 24.1cm. diam., all 19th century
