The card-table, with Palladian eared-tablet top, is supported on serpentined legs whose Jupiter's Eagle-claw feet, enriched with the husk-festooned scallop-shell badge of Venus, correspond to those of parlour chairs supplied about 1733 for Houghton Hall, Norfolk (see: J.
